Universiteto optika (eng. university optics) approached me with a task, to uplift their old ‘logo’. The case was that they event didn’t had a logo. They had (and still it exists) an old metal signage, to which, according to client, people are used to. But the main problem was that people can’t remember how it looks or don’t recognize it in other context, appart from the original place the metal sign hangs. Ofcourse, it’s really problematic to use that signage on the stationery, website etc. So the approved idea was to make a brandmark, which symbolises the optics (eye glasses) + first letters of the optic parlour name.
